Let the Spring vibes roll on in!

With roll rugs ❤️ This one is now available in my Etsy shop.

Not jelly roll rugs but raw-edged, raggy strips wrapped around a 1/2" poly-cotton cording for strength and durability.  After a while the fraying makes it look as if it were inherited from Grandma's chic little retro cottage.

I love making these, too bad wrights has stopped making the 1/2" cording but luckily other brands are available online.  If you'd like to see a tutorial let me know.

For so long now, I've been wanting to come back and reconnect.

Add the things that I've made or tried, baked or stitched and well, life got in the way again.
Between my mother and step-father's deaths 11 days apart just after Covid....
An inevitable divorce from a one sided marriage,
moving and changing jobs,
a car accident, that left me without a vehicle for a year,
getting engaged and married to "my person".

(Took half a lifetime to find him and he found me instead.)

He tells me to do whatever it is I want and love to do and not to worry because he's got me.
So with him and the Lord, I'm back to doing the one thing that makes me happiest in the world and that is creating!

So since I've last posted - along with all of the above mentioned,
we've added a kitten to our home (not allowed in my workshop, sorry kitty)  Meet Stella!

I've tried to perfect some of my favorite bakes...

This one came out a bit sloppy with the drips but so tasty

These I just made last weekend and let me tell you!  OMG yummmmm
I love the dental floss cutting method.  Nice and clean.

Started back making stuffed Scotties and will be making more cats and bunnies from previous years blog posts too =)

...making rope baskets and rugs...

Oh! and giant Christmas gnomes that light up!

And of course, ALL things pink, rosy and oh so shabby

Many of these things can be found in my Etsy shop Barn And Sage and I'm planning on posting here again as regularly as I can so come visit me here for updates and projects I'll be working on!
